This topic has been on my mind lately. It is easy to rely on your own beliefs. We tend to do things the same way without considering the diversity of those we serve.
In leadership, the importance of this is paramount. Learners do not all learn the same way. As a leader, I need to know my people. I must create experiences that are appropriate to their learning styles. When assisting a colleague, it is important to personalize your style to meet them where they are.
In today’s AI and tech-filled world, there is always more than one way to complete a task. My way is not the only way. Let’s all become more aware of our egocentric tendencies and create safer collaboration and learning spaces. #Self-Reflection #Leadership #Egocentrism
